So…growing up my mom was the queen of inexpensive meals. We didn’t have much and she raised us on her own, so it was essential to make every dollar count. I was recently left with 4 pounds of ground beef on my hands and decided to make one of my favorites at home.
Instead of canned green beans (yum!) I used fresh, and instead of Campbells Tomato Soup, I used Nancy’s Chunky Tomato Bisque (because I’m obsessed, and it’s organic or whatever), but otherwise, it’s the same ol’ dish I grew up on. Hopefully it turns out as good as mom’s (yeah, right).
It goes a lil’ something like this:
Ground beef (browned, unless you’re looking to die), green beans, garlic (doi), onion (I’m out, dinner ruined), and soup with mashed potatoes on top. Bake that shit (to brown the potatoes and mix up them flavors), enjoy.
It’s simple, it’s costs almost nothing to make and it’s one of my most favorite things on the planet.
Cannot wait to eat.
